Scribbles and Updates

Hey y'all, Happy Easter if y'all celebrate it, if not I hope you're having a good weekend! I know it's been a while and I'm not going to bother with excuses, just going to provide writing updates. I've decided to treat Judi and Missy's stories as a series. Their stories can stand alone but they connect slightly through each other and I figure it makes it easier to show they're connected if they have a series title. As a result I've renamed Missy's story to flow better with Judi's (and talks to the plot of her story). I think the hardest part of writing is thinking you have something and then having it fizzle into absolutely nothing. I've been working on FFYT (may be retitled to No Good Deed) and I'm having the hardest time getting the opening down. I'll write a shit ton of words, get quite far into it and then get stuck and no matter what I do I can't move forward and I realise that I've been going down the wrong way. With some stories I can just cut a few plot points/chapters and while that can result in my losing over 15,000 words at least I still have a start that'll work for me. Not so with Fall For Your Type. I keep having to take a step back and try and rethink how to work it and it's just, it's really frustrating and blocking me when I try to work on other projects. I don't know how to get out of this slump. And a large part of me thinks it might be a result of the change in my sleeping patterns -- when I was writing fairly consistently I was in univ...

Hey guys, I know I haven't posted in 6 months but I'm honestly fed up with myself and my inability to get past the idea/plotting stage of a story to the actual writing. Even forcing my self isn't working. I tried nano and went absolutely nowhere. I'm talking like 6000 words max. However, I've joined a couple of those publisher communities (i.e. swoonreads.com ) where you can post your stories online and depending on community feedback they have voting rounds and if you get high enough your story will be looked at by editors of the publication and then the 'winner' or top book of that period will be published. I'm seriously thinking about  submitting IWOAK to the community and see how it does. Mind you, I might age the characters up a bit, first year uni at the max for Judi and the girls just to make certain aspects of the story more realistic. I'm not sure on that yet, but it's an option, especially since I think there's not  ...

Hey you guys, I know I've been MIA for quite a while now but I am writing, just slowly.Very slowly. After I finished IWOAK I sort of got stuck in this weird limbo where I have ideas and I can plot those out but writing the actual words is a bust. I have like six false starts for One More Night (the gladiator-ish story I've posted on here) even though I know the characters and I know how I want them to meet again in our time. I had a quick brain storm with my sister that hopefully we can extend on over the weekend and it'll be the kick I need to get everything working again.  Then there's the epilogue for IWOAK. Oy. I have that outlined and everything but the words aren't coming at all. I know where I wan the scene to happen, how I want it to happen but it just won't happen. I don't know, rereading the story isn't helping me get back into the flow, it's just making my fingers itch I'm hoping to at least have that finished sometime this mon...

So IWOAK is complete and a lot of you are ready to read about Missy and Vince.Those two have history and they both regret the way ish went down between them. I don't have anything I can say without giving away parts of FFYT but I thought it might be nice to give you guys a look at one of the important parts of Missy's life since while she was there for Judi every step of the way, she was still quite secretive.  In FFYT, and IWOAK, Missy has only one person she considers her boyfriend. Her first in a lot of things and the love of her life even though he died before they had even properly exited the hell that was puberty (and for those thinking you've passed puberty hell at 16 remember all the little things that made you want to freak out and/or felt like your life was ruined. Happy 2013 all! I just wanted to thank all of you for the support over the years, this year especially since I know my writing has slowed down quite a bit and life kept intruding and I have yet to perfect the art of multi-tasking to that degree. This isn't going to be super long, just letting you know that IWOAK will be updated by the end of this week, Sunday at the latest. The chapter is complete I'm honestly just trying to work out a few kinks but I won't be ditching huge chunks of text (I don't think) lol. Kinda want to bump the previous post down since it continues to bother my soul, lol, and I'm trying to move past that. So, updates. Sorry about the internet silence, school is coming to an end so things have been busy. IWOAK I'm about a third of the way finished with this chapter, I'm over the 3k mark but the more I look at it the more it feels unnecessary but at the same time it does have bits that I want to highlight without it just being her telling us about it. I don't know, I need to finish the chapter and then based on that see if I should cut the opening or what. I have a little over two more weeks of school left for this term, thankfully, so as long as I remember to make sure I bring all my writing with me this chapter should be posted late December. I'm aiming for Christmas at the latest but no promises. GENERAL I failed Nano horribly, today is the last day and I'm not even going to bother and push my word count. I feel so behind on everything. I'm behind on review replies for chapter thirty ( I usually try to get them out either the same day as the new chapter has been posted or a day or two after), chapter 30 was posted mad late (it was supposed to be up for Halloween) and I was supposed to post a blog a few days ago. IWOAK Currently working on IWOAK32 (scene transitions hate my life, I thought I had gotten better then I get to this chapter. Oy) and decided to take a slight break because everything is getting frustrating. I know what I want, I know the emotions I have to get across but nothing is working the way it needs too. So frustrating. I'm also worried that some things might seem like they came out of nowhere, which to be fair, they do. but Judi has either been in the dark about certain things or willfully forgetting stuff and since she's the main character and the only person we hear from, you learn things when she does. Alright, taking a quick break from assignments to give you guys an update. I have been getting some writing done, both on IWOAK and Choices. The plan is to have Choices 2 up sometime this weekend (finally) and then just put in work to get IWOAK31 complete for early October, so keep your fingers crossed. Plagiarism wise, I still haven't heard back from fanfiction so I'm going to be sending another email to them sometime this week and writing the girl another review requesting she take it down although I am positive that's pointless since she's had almost a full month and she hasn't done anything about it.  What else... oh! During class today I may or may not have figured out a subplot to add some zing to FFYT. Yes, I do have it plotted out for the most part but there was something missing and I think it's the fact that I'm strong at writing internal conflict but for some reason I can't carry off a story like that all the way through without some s...

I just wanted to make a general post to thank everyone for the support with the plagiarism issue. It still hasn't been taken down and still hasn't responded back to my message but I still want to thank everyone for taking the time to message her/fanfiction about the issue. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now but I'll continue to work on it and watch her. From the way she hasn't responded I'm getting the vibe she might either just let the story die and continue to 'write' on another site or wait until she thinks the hype has gone down and then post.
