Scribbles and Updates

So, I have been pretty much trash at actually updating this blog, lol. But new year, same goals but this time I have a plan. See below for a summary of the shit show that was 2016 and then my action plan (kinda) for 2017.  Let me know how your year hwas and whether you have any goals/visions for 2017! 2016 in Review My 2016  can pretty much be summarized as follows:  I lost both of my grandmothers' in the first half of the year. My mom's mom passed in February, my dad's mom passed in April. Both funerals happened a month after they passed due to outside complications. One of my closest friends also went into a crisis in March and wasn't released until mid-May. During that time all, I could think of in my head was 'deaths come in threes' which had me on edge and anxious. Work also became pretty hectic. It has been forever since I've written anything here and I'm sorry about that! I just keep getting bogged down in things and putting writing on the back burner and then I feel like shit for being so behind. Currently I'm looking into registering for a novel writing course at a local uni near me. I'm working full time so it'll be an online course, but I think it would be a great way to push my writing to the next level. I just fed up with writing currently. IWOAK is complete, the first draft, but the second draft is just a struggle to get out and I don't know why. FFYT has stalled major and while I have new ideas for other works they never get past the first few chapters. I keep thinking I've figured out where the issue is and then it doesn't work and I just get stuck. But at least with the course I can get feedback and a structure that might help and then next steps will lead to me finally letting go and letting the story be the best it can be. Now...

Hey all, I know, I went off grid for a while but I'm still here. Started my internship three weeks ago and I've been commuting/working/commuting/sleeping. Lol. I have been writing on the commute though, it's an hour twenty both ways not counting the fifteen minute walk to and from the bus stop and then to and from my work so when I'm awake enough I'm putting in work, it's just finding the time to actually type it up. internship ends this Friday [ please let me get hired, please, please, please ] and there's no guarantee I'll get kept so there's that. Of course, it's my little brother's birthday tomorrow as well as a friend of mines so this weekend will probably be celebrating with them. Um, what else. Kinda want to bump the previous post down since it continues to bother my soul, lol, and I'm trying to move past that. So, updates. Non-Writing Related Heading into the final stretch for school, found out today I got my internship! *brap brap* here's hoping they hire me afterwards and I don't have to struggle at searching for a job as I usually do. Of course, this means that all of my major projects are coming to a head since the internship starts in April but I'm hoping to figure out a system that will work better than the one I currently have, which hasn't been working out that well when it comes to writing regularly, lol. Happy Halloween! And if you don't celebrate it, well, happy day before you can buy massive amounts of candy and stuff for half the price, lol.  Doing a bit of rewriting because I have a fun scene with Judi, Missy, Talia and Lisa butttt it's not necessary and it's making it difficult for me to get to the scene that I need to make the story move forward so I'm holding onto it to see if it can be put in at a later date and if not, well then I guess we'll have an outtake scene for the blog at some point, lol.
